Hi all ,
Last Sunday myself , my mam and my 3 sisters headed out to The Heritage Hotel , Killenard , Co. Laois for the Tea & Treats package. This package included 30 minute Facial and a 30 minute Back, Neck & Shoulder Massage, then for afternoon tea.
On arrival we were greeted by amazing grounds the place is absolutely stunning. We headed for our treatments at 11 am. Bathrobes and slippers are provided, so great comfort.
There was 5 of us so they can definitely accommodate for large group bookings. We where all greeted by our therapists at the one time and taken to our treatment rooms. The rooms where beautiful and very relaxed . We had the back massage first which was absolutely out of this world. I asked for a good deep massage as I felt like I had a lot of tension and that’s exactly what I got. My therapist Jane was extremely thorough in her work. She was so quiet during the treatment you wouldn’t even know she was there to be honest.
Then we had the 30 minute facial , where Lisa also done some skin analysis under a light. She explained my skin was in really good condition , but certain areas like my checks and eyes where dehydrated. Lisa then started the facial with a cleanse moving onto some masks and oils etc. The products they used where by ESPA , which I had never heard of before , but my skin was glowing afterwards . They are beautiful luxurious products.
When the treatments finished we where then taken to the Relaxation room, which is a dim-lit spacious room , filled with beds, packed full of pillows , where you can relax and enjoy some tea after your treatments. We spent an hour here relaxing before we headed down to the Spa Experience.
The Spa Experience contains , a pool , jacuzzi , steam rooms , ice showers, refreshments etc. It’s the perfect place to unwind after your treatments. We spent an hour here relaxing and enjoying the facilities , before we headed for showers and got ready for afternoon tea at 3. Afternoon Tea was amazing you had a selection of sandwiches to choose from and the best part, the selection of sweat treats. We also enjoyed tea and Prosecco , which was also included.
The Tea & Treats Day Spa package itself cost €99 which I think is brilliant value for what you get on the day. But if you book and quote Shapes & Shadows blog you will get 10 % off.
They also have the Tea & Treats break package which includes your over night stay in the Deluxe guest rooms inc. breakfast. You also get your two treatments your facial and back massage and full use of the Spa Experience. To top to all off you also get afternoon tea all for €149 pp sharing and again if you quote the blog you can also avail of 10% of this package too.
I would highly recommend the Heritage , the day it self was absolutely amazing and so relaxing. Myself and my sisters have been to many spa days and this was by far the best we’ve had. It’s perfect for any occasion , weather it’s for yourself and your partner , a girlie break away , hen party or even a baby shower it’s the perfect place and a great price.
